Work on demand
On-demand service provision (sometimes called work-on-demand systems) have been defined as ‘involving more traditional, physical or ‘real world’ tasks and jobs’ [1] that generally occur outside the worker’s home. Some examples of platforms that facilitate work on demand for services including property and home maintenance, point to point transport or personal care services are; Airtasker, Handy, Uber, Ola, Mable, and Home Care Heroes.
